Just happened to spend my Sunday glued to the History channel - sometimes sarcastically called the "Hitler Channel" but it was a good, in-depth refresher course on how the Nazi party was formed, came to power and eventually dragged the entire world into Hell. One of the most significant turning points was "Kristallnacht ", The Night of Broken Glass when the overt persecution of the Jews shifted into high gear. Learn more about it here: I was horrified to see the latest commercial by Mercedes Benz air on the anniversary of Kristallnacht. (Mercedes Benz IS THE SAME NAZI COMPANY THAT BUILT HITLER'S TANKS!) It shows the newest Mercedes moving in slow motion down a quiet street and as it passes a series of small Mom & Pop store fronts the windows all shatter in a string of invisible vandalism. Do they really think no one remembers?
